well, i havent posted in a week and i still dont have much to report on the knitting front, except that devin's scarf is still not done, even though i have been working on it every chance i get, and devin got me a gift certificate for the knitting shop for my birthday! hooray!
instead i will leave you with a picture of my cutie cat ramona in a box
she is really obsessed with this box. usually we have a box and the cats spend a week sleeping in it, but this box has been around for about a month and they havent tired of it. i wish i could sleep in a box!

hi all!
well, this is what i have been working on:
i was going to make the first few inches of the scarf in garter stitch with the cream colored yarn and the a large stripe with the gray colored yarn in stockinette stitch, but it looked awful. so, what you see above is what i frogged. in any case, i restarted the project today - all in garter - and i am almost done with the big grey stripe already. its boring, but i like to just knit anyway.
in fact, when i first started to learn to knit and i didnt really have any projects planned, i would just knit and knit and knit because i was so damn addicted to it. i still love the actual knitting part, however i enjoy knitting for a purpose, rather than just knitting to knit. then again, i really do just love to knit to knit. wow. is that confusing?
by the way, if you read my other blog you would know that i got sunburned today! and i keep forgetting not to scratch my shoulders where i got burned. damnit!
well, hope you all got to enjoy todays weather! i was so happy to be able to take my knitting with me to the park. it was so lovely out! hooray!

well, im back, but not with any pictures right now. i have been pretty lazy on the knitting front. actually life has been busy. last weekend and the weekend before i was either in jersey or had jerseyans visiting me, so oh well. anyway, i havent made any more progress on the no sweat pants, but i have been working on the scarf for my friend. i will post a picture of the progress soon. its a bit of a boring project, which could explain my slacking, but in the mean time the weather has been getting me down, and i have been tired a lot too. i think it is because i stopped working out for about 2 weeks, but i am getting back on track with working out slowly but surely. i started going yesterday, just for a half-hour workout, and today i will probably do the same, but maybe add about 20 minutes or so onto that. i need to work back up to my 2 hour workouts, but that probably wont happen until summertime when i go in the mornings again. ugh!
so, hopefully very soon we will see some progress in my knitting and my muscle tone!
by the way, did you notice that i cant decide on a name for this blog? how frustrating.

well, i havent done much updating recently. i am still working on the no sweat pants and the salt peanuts sweater, but it is all very slow going. i guess i am just taking my time. plus, i have been busy. also, i started on a scarf for my best friend who is moving to germany shortly, so that will take a lot of my time from working on the other projects. i would really like to get the scarf done before he moves, so i am trying to only work on that, but you know how boring scarves can get. oh well. if you love somebody you must make sacrifices. ha!
anyway, i thought i would leave you with a couple of pictures of knitting projects that are in the books that i borrowed from the library. some of them are rather amusing, but there are one or two that i actually would like to make for myself and a sweater that harry actually likes! not that i will be knitting him a sweater until we get married. i dont know if i believe in the sweater curse, but i would rather not take my chances. plus, i already knit him a scarf and he loves it, so we will leave it at that for the time being.
what is that on her sweater? cigarettes? 
this fisherman's rib sweater with a cowl neck is just so glamourous. i cant wait to be able to make something like this.
and i think that it is high time that i show the world the cuteness of my cats, so here are a couple of pictures of henry (a girl named henry!) and ramona.
those are our babies! well, thats all for now. i would like to put up some more pictures, but i am still in the process of trying to figure something out that would make it easier to view groups of pictures that go together in a little window. im learning...
